Jazz in Greece & Cyprus: Our overview of 2023
Καλή Χρονιά! Happy New Year!
At Studio Koch we are passionate about Jazz music. With our Jazz Events Live platform and with our network partners we have collected some amazing data and statistics about the Jazz scene in Greece and Cyprus. If there’s anyone who thinks that there’s not an active Jazz scene in our region, it’s time to get enlightened. Jazz is more thriving as ever before!
Jazz Events Live
With our flagship platform Jazz Events Live we have details information about the market. Live Jazz music and events are essential in the current interest in the art form. 2023 has been very active with a massive 2466 events. Not only the number of events has grown significantly but also the interest of venues. Next to the established Jazz venues there are more and more bars and restaurants seeking out to differentiate and we see an interesting growth. We count already 603 venues in our region that have hosted Jazz Events. Also the amount of musicians has grown where we now have 772 musicians and 58 groups listed from Greece and Cyprus.
Our platform visitor statistics have also grown substantially and especially since the launch of our version 3 update. We have a solid audience of over 100 unique daily visitors (7000+ yearly unique visitors) Most interesting is the growth in the time visitors spend on our platform which is almost 3 minutes (visiting between 3 and 5 different pages) showing clearly that there’s an interest in discovering musicians, groups and venues. In total we have served over half a million views this year to Jazz fans!

Also the our new promotional product (premium) featured has had a flying start where it was used to successfully promote events with almost 1.000 clicks to ticket websites during the whole year. Do you want to know more about featuring events on Jazz Events Live? It’s available from just 1 euro per day. Read more here: https://jazzeventslive.gr/feature-items/
We do not shy away from claiming that Jazz Events Live is the number 1 platform to promote Jazz Events in our region with a significantly better result than advertising on social media.
Our network partners
Our customers Keep Jazzin and the Jazz Solidarity Network (JSN) for who we have developed their websites, have also been a substantial influence in the scene.
Keep Jazzin has hosted this year alone 49 radio shows (recordings available to stream on their website) and 35 album reviews. Check out https://keepjazzin.gr
JSN has already grown to 244 members (58 honorary, 163 beneficiary, 17 supporters and 6 suppliers) and successfully funded 5 amazing Jazz albums and have many more interesting initiatives coming up. Not to forget you can purchase from a large collection of Jazz albums from their webshop supporting the artists and JSN. Discover more at https://jsn.gr
Also interesting to note is that are at least 57 new Jazz albums released in 2023 in Greece and Cyprus according to Jazzlibrary. A visit to their website https://jazzlibrary.gr (although not developed by us) is definitely recommended and holds a treasure of information.
Our websites
Next to the above websites Jazz Events Live, Keep Jazzin and JSN we have also developed a number of websites for Jazz musicians. Irini Konstantinidi, Panos Iliou, Stathis Anninos, Manolis Koutsounanos and Nassia Gofa have found the way to Studio Koch. We are proud to have developed the website for Syros Jazz Festival, Tinos Jazz, the popular blog JazzBuzz and Irida music.
We offer website solutions from just 50 euro per year in our webshop. Don’t forget we also create your flyers, business-cards, album covers and much more. Feel free to contact us for any questions.
